The Hearth is a free, fan-made World of Warcraft: Forever community app for r/wowforever, operated by Demonly LLC (“we”, “us”). By using it you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, simply don’t use the app — nothing else in the subreddit depends on it.
1. What The Hearth is
An interactive Reddit post that shows a countdown to World of Warcraft: Forever milestones, official Blizzard forum posts and news headlines, a roadmap and a reference codex, and can optionally send you Reddit push notifications about moments you choose. It is free, has no accounts of its own, no purchases, and no advertising. The public data API at demonly.net/api/wowforever that feeds it is covered by these terms too.
2. Not affiliated with Blizzard
The Hearth is a fan-made community project. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Blizzard Entertainment, Inc.World of Warcraft, Warcraft, and all related marks are trademarks or registered trademarks of Blizzard Entertainment, Inc. Any game references appear here as fan content under Blizzard’s Fan Content Policy and will be removed on request.
3. It runs on Reddit
The Hearth operates inside Reddit as a Developer Platform app. Your use is also governed by Reddit’s User Agreement, Content Policy, and Privacy Policy, and by r/wowforever’s rules. Push notifications are delivered by Reddit’s systems, not ours.
4. Alerts
Alerts are opt-in only and off until you turn them on. You can turn them off at any time, in one tap, from the bell in the app. We send at most 2 notifications per day and typically only a handful across the road to launch, inside the local-time window you select, and never overnight. What we store to make that work is set out in the Privacy Policy. No feature of The Hearth is gated behind enabling alerts, and we will never require posting, commenting, subscribing, or any other Reddit action in exchange for functionality.
5. Accuracy
Milestone dates, roadmap entries, prices and news are provided as-is and without warranty. They come from Blizzard’s public announcements and community reporting, and some are Blizzard’s own rough windows rather than confirmed dates — the app labels those as unconfirmed. Blizzard can change any of it at any time. Do not rely on The Hearth for anything that matters outside the game.
6. Acceptable use
Don’t attempt to disrupt, overload, or gain unauthorized access to the app or its data sources; don’t use it to harass others or break Reddit’s or r/wowforever’s rules; and don’t scrape or redistribute its feeds commercially. We may rate-limit or block abusive traffic.
7. Third-party data
Blizzard forum posts and news headlines come from Blizzard’s own public feeds, mirrored by Demonly LLC. Those services have their own terms, and we don’t control their availability or accuracy.
8. Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, The Hearth and Demonly LLC are provided without warranties of any kind and are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the app. This is a free community tool.
9. Changes & contact
